Kristin Fisher has joined CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent team in July of 2021. She is a reporter covering everything including NASA as well as Space Force, Space Force and commercial space companies to the advent of space tourism. Kristin has a background in the sector of space, as the granddaughter and daughter of NASA astronauts. Over the last five years, she's covered space policies under Biden and Trump administrations for FOX News. Also, she covered the 2020 presidential campaign and the efforts of two administrations to fight the coronavirus. She also was on numerous trips with President and Vice President, including a top secret visit to Afghanistan together with the former president Donald Trump. Kristin was a TV local reporter in Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., where she earned the Emmy Award for her work as an "one-man-band" reporter before joining CBS in 2015. Kristin's expertise as a camerawoman led her to found Field Mouse Films which specialized creating documentary-style films for clients of corporate nature, such as Uber Hotels and Resorts as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Boston University. She currently lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and their three year old daughter.
